I am a political economist. I work as a Departmental Lecturer in the Political Economy of Latin America at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (Latin American Centre) and the Oxford Department of International Development, at the University of Oxford. I’m also a Research Associate at the TIDE Centre. My work focuses on the role of care in development from various perspectives such as social reproduction, inequalities and social protection.

My work has been published in prestigious academic journals, including New Political Economy, Competition & Change, Development and Change, Review of International Political Economy, Finance and Space, Third World Quarterly, Global Social Policy, and The International Journal of Care and Caring, among others.

I regularly advise international institutions on issues of inequality and care, including ECLAC, UN Women, ODI Global, FCDO (UK), and has collaborated with several governments on the design of care strategies and policies across Latin America.
